On 16 September 26, the Institute of Mathematics at Clausthal University of Technology once again hosted the ‘Maths is More’ event.
As part of this event, over 350 school pupils visited our university. The Institute of Management, Economics and Law also took the opportunity to showcase itself, alongside many other institutes, during the lunch break. PhD students Lena Wohlert, Laura Henke (Department of Business Administration and Operations Research) and Lukas Noeßelt (Department of Business Administration and Industrial Environmental Economics), as well as Prof. Dr Heike Schenk-Mathes, were on hand to chat with interested pupils. Of course, a little challenge was a must: anyone who managed to find a solution close to the optimal one in the logistics-based ‘Burrito Optimisation Game’ could win a T-shirt featuring the TU Clausthal logo.
